What We Do
PEN New England promotes a culture of literature, celebrates
great writing and great writers, and promotes the free and open exchange of
ideas and freedom of expression. We do this in myriad ways and
year round programming; some work is done in committees, some in
collaboration with other organizations, some administered by chairs of
programs such as our literary awards and monthly reading series. Our recent programs showcase the scope of our work and activities.
